Now I am sure you have lots of questions and we are here to help! Never feel any question is a silly question. All grids run differently, we get that!
First I'll answer what we believe is the most common questions on GCG.
1. I do know about the free land, but can you attach the Free Land to my Paid Land?
Unfortunately no, as we have designated spots just for the Free lands.
2. What are we allowed to do on our Free Land?
It is now totally YOURS! So you can do and have whatever you like as long as it don't conflict with our RULES OF FREE LAND.
3. How do i get Free Land?
That's easy...just go here and read our RULES OF FREE LAND on how to get free land.
4. What is allowed on our Paid Lands?
Exactly whats allowed on your Free Land. Its YOURS now! So have fun and do what you like as long as it don't conflict with our RULES OF PAID LAND.
5. Where can I get stuff like clothes, furniture, avatars, etc.?
We have 4 great sims full of stores! All Free too! Just go to your map and in SEARCH/FIND type in GCG to get all our official regions of GCG.
6. What do you offer here that no other grids do?
You can feel the difference when you are here, we have the most powerful servers on the market. But for more info on what we offer GO HERE.
7. Can I send out notices to the entire GCG group?
We have it set up so if you are a store owner or club owner, then YES!
8. How do i send notices to everyone on GCG?
Once we approve of your Title as owner of a shop or club, you will need to go to the official GCG group, highlight it and click PROFILE next to it.
When you are in the Groups profile window look way down at the bottom you will see Current Title and there you will select your tag as GCG Events or GCG Shops. Choose your title and then you will be able to go back into the group to send out notices for your shop or events!
9. Can you have kids on GCG?
By all means! It's very silly that most if not all other grids ban having kids. Even Second Life allows kids. Kids are people too! And I am a firm believer in being able to have a family even if its virtual, when you can't in RL like myself. Not everyone is blessed with kids. So yes you can.
10. Do you have currency here?
As of right now we are working on providing our Own Currency Soon. But we do have in world paypal boards that link to paypal for purchases and tips!
11. I want to DJ here or hire a DJ. Do you know where I can purchase a streaming service for music in world?
The best place that even we use is MyRadioStream. Don't get caught on high prices to deliver music to your club. This place offers not only a free service but their best service is usually around 5 bucks a month or so. Even we use MyRadioStream for our clubs. And if you need a software program for DJing, I suggest MIXX. Its free as well!
12. Why can I not get offline IM's or Notices to my Email?
The reason for this is an email service provider can back up significantly and cost an amazing amount of money to run for everyone. We would rather not pay for that one module in order to give you better prices in Opensim for land! Just, Instead of waiting for messages for a higher price, just log in world to catch all your messages :)
12. Why is there only 1x1 regions at 15,000 prims allowed for purchasing?
Second Life did it right. Variable regions and even bigger regions were never meant to be for virtual worlds. High End Servers and Members Lands all run the best for everyone as they were meant to be...a single 15000 prim region. Lag is gone, FPS is faster, and our members get to experience the fastest running grid in all of Opensim.
